German as a Foreign Language at the SDI Munich
The 
SDI Munich, well known all over Europe, is an institute which offers specialized programs for students who want to pursue language-related professions.
Students enroll in the German language program for a variety of reasons:
- To learn an additional language
- To become a German citizen
- To pass the language tests required to attend a German college or university
Learning an additional language
- You can learn Europe's most widely-spoken first language from the A2 level or simply broaden your existing knowledge of the German language and culture.
Becoming a German citizen
- You can learn German in the heart of Munich’s university district, in one of Germany’s most beautiful and popular cities.
- You become ready for naturalization, with lectures on the geography and history of Germany as well as a unique program of cultural events which complement the language classes.
Preparing for further study or training
- You will be well prepared to take either the German Foreign Language Test (TestDaF) or the German Language Proficiency Exam II (DSP II), required for non-native speakers enrolling in German colleges or universities.
- The DSP II also qualifies you to train as a translator or multilingual administrative assistant (at the SDI or other language institutes in Germany).
Our special service for students from Poland, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic
- You can take the equivalency exam which will enable you to have your native language recognized in your chosen profession (e. g. translator, interpreter, multilingual administrative assistant, etc.).

Students take a language proficiency test to determine their current language level.
